
In order to popularize the Georgian wine and diversify the export markets, a Georgian wine tasting seminar was held in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, with the support of the Georgian National Wine Agency and the Agency’s Contractor Marketing Company People PR,” - the Georgian National Wine Agency has announced.
The wine tasting workshop, led by a renowned wine expert, sommelier and founder of the Wine School Szymon Milonas, was attended by the representatives of the local media, the commercial sector and the Embassy of Georgia in the Republic of Poland.
Within the framework of the event, the guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with the culture and traditions of the Georgian feast. The wines and Georgian cuisine of 6 Georgian wine companies were presented at the event. In May 2022, the Georgian wine was presented to the Polish sommeliers, wine distributors and representatives of famous restaurants.
Poland is one of the strategic markets for Georgian wine, which has a stable place in the top five exporters of Georgian wine. In 2021, Georgian wine exports to Poland exceeded 7 million bottles, an increase of 34% compared to 2020.
Poland is one of the strategic export markets for Georgian wine and is in the top five list of Georgian wine importer countries. In January-March 2018, up to 741,000 bottles of wine were exported to Poland, which is 32 percent higher than in the same period of 2017.
