According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), walnuts worth $3.17 million (986 tons) were imported into the country in the first seven months of last year, and worth $6.15 million (1 643 tons) - in the same period of 2024.

In seven months this year, the largest amount of shelled walnuts was imported from Uzbekistan. In particular, Georgia's top-5 trading partners by walnut import is as follows:

Uzbekistan - $2.06 million;
Kyrgyzstan - $1.48 million;
China - $1.38 million;
Ukraine - $1.08 million;
Turkey - $142 thousand.
