
In April 2023, compared to the figures of the previous year, the volume of remittances into Georgia increased by 20.0% and amounted to 369.7 million US dollars.
“In April 2023, the volume of remittance flows into the country amounted to 369.7 million US dollars (933.3 million GEL), which is 20.0% (61.6 million US dollars) more than the similar indicator of April 2022,” - the National Bank of Georgia reported.
Reportedly, 97.2% of remittances from abroad to Georgia come from the 23 largest partner countries, from which the volume of remittances exceeded $1 million each in April. The mentioned 23 countries accounted for 97.0% of all remittances in April last year.
In April 2023, 28.4 million US dollars (71.8 million GEL) were sent abroad from Georgia, which is 12.0% more than the similar figure (25.4 million US dollars) of April 2022.
