The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, and the Head of the Foreign Ministry of Peru, Ana Cecilia Gervasi Diaz, signed an agreement on visa-free travel between Georgia and the Republic of Peru, at a meeting held within the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the meeting held in New York, the parties discussed the current issues of the bilateral and multilateral agenda and future prospects.
"The importance of conducting high-level visits and deepening cooperation in the political, trade-economic, cultural and educational spheres was emphasized.
At the meeting with his colleague, Ilia Darchiashvili emphasized the importance of cooperation with Latin American countries for Georgia.
The parties agreed to actively work for the development of bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially in terms of sharing the experience of successful reforms of Georgia in the direction of services and state services," - the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia said.
