Renovations — costing 700,000 GEL — are to take place in cooperation with the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

“The existence of recreational spaces in the city is fundamentally important for us; citizens can see how many new and rehabilitated, renovated parks have appeared in the city in recent years. I would like to inform you that in close cooperation with the Asian Development Bank, we have made a decision to rehabilitate Vera Park, which is a site of Georgia’s cultural heritage, needs full renovation. However, special attention will be given to maintaining its original appearance. The capital has great resources in this direction and we continue to work”, - Kaladze said.

The renovation is projected to be finished within a year.

Another popular park in Tbilisi, Vake Park, has been closed for renovation since February. It is scheduled to be reopened by the end of the year.
