
At Pullman Tbilisi Hotel, the USAID's Economic Security Program and Visa have signed a memorandum of understanding to launch a new partnership within which the organizations will support the strengthening of small and medium-sized businesses and the digitization of their activities, inclusive economic growth, and the expansion of digital opportunities and access to citizens.
As part of the cooperation, the USAID's Economic Security Program and Visa will develop and implement joint programs that will focus on digital transformation, increasing population in the direction of financial literacy with special emphasis on micro and small entrepreneurs, as well as economic empowerment of women and integration of vulnerable groups.
As Mark McCord, the Head of the USAID's Economic Security Program, noted, Visa has global and long-standing experience in supporting digital economy, women's economic empowerment, financial technology and e-commerce - all of these are also USAID's core values. According to him, this partnership will allow Georgian companies to implement smart digital solutions to achieve their development goals and connect with the international market.
