
In February 2025, money transfers from the U.S. to Georgia rose by 13.9% year-on-year, reaching 47.3 million USD.
According to the latest statistics from the National Bank of Georgia, the largest share of transfers came from EU countries, accounting for 44%, or 110.7 million USD. Italy, Germany, and Greece were notable contributors within the EU.
The National Bank also reported a significant 44.7% drop in money transfers from the Russian Federation compared to the same month last year.
Overall, Georgia received a total of 252.3 million USD in money transfers in February 2025, marking a 5.3% decrease from the previous year. In the same period, Georgia transferred 28.7 million USD (80.9 million GEL) abroad.
