The United States Embassy in Georgia has expressed condolences following a tragic fire in the village of Saberio, located in the Russian-occupied Gali district of Abkhazia.

“The United States Embassy extends its deepest sympathies to the families, loved ones, and the Georgian people for the tragic loss of children in Saberio, occupied Gali district,” the embassy stated.

The fire claimed the lives of five children in the village of Saberio.
