The US Embassy responded to the death of Georgian diplomat, publicist, writer, teacher and TV presenter Gela Charkviani on Facebook.
„We were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of beloved Georgian diplomat, publicist, writer, and educator Gela Charkviani yesterday. To the family and to the people of Georgia who have shown great respect and admiration for Mr. Charkviani, the United States Embassy extends its deepest sympathies,“ - the statement of the US Embassy reads.
