
According to a newly registered document with the U.S. Department of Justice, Georgia’s opposition party, the United National Movement (UNM), has signed a six-month contract with the American law and lobbying firm Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP.
The agreement, signed on July 7, is worth $360,000 and covers all services except for travel expenses, which must be pre-approved.
The firm is tasked with representing the party’s interests before the U.S. government, with a focus on promoting democratic processes and free elections in Georgia. It will also support the UNM’s diplomatic efforts and help strengthen ties with U.S. authorities.
The contract includes services such as government advocacy, strategic relationship development, and awareness-raising efforts about democratic developments in Georgia.
As required under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), the firm has registered the agreement, ensuring full transparency and compliance with U.S. law. All related information will be publicly available.
