The Annual Congress and General Assembly of the Airports Council International (ACI EUROPE) will be held on June 22-24 in the Italian capital. The 32nd forum in Rome is being attended by senior air transport officials and industry leaders. Tamar Archuadze, the Director of the United Airports of Georgia, will represent Georgia at the General Assembly.
The congress is being held at the fifth terminal of Rome's Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino Airport. The main topic is the planning, analysis and development of new investment strategies for the summer and winter navigation seasons of 2022. As Tamar Archuadze explained, the Assembly will touch upon the issues of rapid recovery of aviation and tourism sectors after the pandemic, as well as the ways for the airports to adapt to the existing challenges.
At the end of the 3-day event, the best airport in Europe will be revealed at the General Assembly. It should be noted that the Kutaisi International Airport, operated by the United Airports of Georgia (UAG), has been named twice in a row among the best airports in terms of passenger flow growth before the pandemic.
