
The United Airports of Georgia (UAG) is one of the winners of the Best Annual Report and Transparency Award (BARTA). The company was given the 5th Anniversary Award for the Most Improved Reporting.
The annual event is supported by the World Bank, the Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia and the Fund for Beneficiaries of the Accounting Reform. The United Airports of Georgia participated in the category of small and medium companies as part of the BARTA 2023 competition.
According to Irakli Karkashadze, General Director of the United Airports of Georgia (UAG), the purpose of participating in the competition is to increase the quality of reporting and transparency of the Georgian companies.
The Best Annual Report and Transparency Award competition was established in 2019 within the framework of the joint financial inclusion and accountability project of the European Union and the World Bank. After the European Union initiated a fundamental review of corporate financial statements. In order to participate in the competition, companies submit governance, corporate management and non-financial reports as part of the annual report.
