Under decision of Georgian Government, restriction on wheat export lifted from April 6

On the initiative of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture, the Georgian authorities made a decision to lift restrictions on export of wheat from April 6 in order to facilitate the sale of crops for wheat farmers.
In 2022, based on food security threats and need to serve domestic demand, the Government of Georgia made a decision to impose a temporary restriction on the export of wheat.
Currently, farmers have the opportunity to sell their crops in both international and local markets.
