
Georgia’s Minister of Infrastructure, Revaz Sokhadze, held a meeting with UN Under-Secretary-General and ESCAP Executive Secretary, Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, to discuss projects supporting Georgia’s inclusive and sustainable development.
During the meeting, Minister Sokhadze outlined Georgia’s strategic priorities, including strengthening regional connections, developing key transport corridors, and revitalizing cities and regions.
Alisjahbana highlighted Georgia’s important role in the modern Silk Road network and expressed interest in deepening cooperation.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister Mzia Giorgobiani and Nikolay Pomoshchnikov, Head of the UN Subregional Office for North and Central Asia.
Alisjahbana is in Georgia for the 5th Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, where she will speak at the “Rewiring Global Trade” panel.
