Accommodation in hotels started this morning. The Deputy Head of the National Tourism Administration met with the Ukrainian tourists at the hotel and expressed support to them once again. Ukrainian tourists are noting that they were contacted by the Georgian authorities in the first minutes and expressed their readiness to help.
"I would like to thank the Georgian people for such hospitality. We have been in Georgia since February 17. The hardest time is coming for Ukraine and Georgia to take care of us like this, we thank the government of Georgia, which is online 24 hours a day, taking care of and helping us. I thank Georgian people for such support," said Tatiana Marchenko, a Ukrainian tourist.
The National Tourism Administration of Georgia launched a free hotline yesterday morning, where, if necessary, Ukrainian tourists can call and receive all kinds of information and assistance.
About 100 Ukrainian tourists have already applied to the National Tourism Administration for help. Coordinated by the National Tourism Administration, the private sector across Georgia has expressed a desire to provide hotel rooms to Ukrainian tourists completely free of charge.
