Ukraine's Chargé d'Affaires to Georgia, Andrii Kasianov stated that based on unconfirmed information, 4,100 Ukrainian citizens are in Georgia since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.
"Ukraine is grateful for all our friends, who are helping our citizens be sheltered and employed in the neighboring countries. Based on unconfirmed data, 4,100 Ukrainian citizens are in Georgia since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. Ukrainians started entering Georgia on February 24, 2022. They are mostly escaping from the aggressor country. The Embassy continues to work to provide Ukrainian citizens with everything - shelter, medical care, meals, free telephone communication with family. We also hope that the government will make the necessary decisions for Ukrainian citizens who are forcibly present on Georgian territory due to the Russia-Ukraine war,” - Andrii Kasianov declared.
