Ukraine is the 7th importing country for Georgia - the top-10 products Georgia buys

According to the data of January 2022, 4.3% of the total import of Georgia is from Ukraine. Particularly, in January 2022, imports amounted to 779 142 800 USD, while from Ukraine this figure was 33 557 900 USD. It should be noted that, as of January data, Ukraine is ranked 7th among the importing countries.

As of January 2022, the list of top-10 products imported to Georgia from Ukraine is as follows:

Ferroalloys - $4,987,430;

Flat-rolled carbon steel with a width of 600 mm or more, hot-rolled carbon steel - $ 3,079,370;

Medicines packaged - $ 1,823,930;

Flat rolled from other alloy steels with a width of 600 mm or more - $ 1,530,230;

Chocolate and other cocoa-based foods - $ 1,070,650;

Cigars, cigarillos and cigarettes from tobacco or its substitutes - $ 857,970;

Rods made of carbon steel, without further processing - $ 850 530;

Angle iron, sketch and special profiles made of carbon steel - $ 843 170;

Other industrial tobacco and industrial tobacco substitutes - $ 835,390;

Bread, flour confectionery, pastry, cakes and other pastries - $ 823,870.

As for the preliminary data for 2021, according to the National Statistics Office, last year the total imports from Ukraine accounted for 4.5%. In particular, last year the imports to Georgia totaled 10 073 290 100 USD, while imports from Ukraine - 451 621 500 USD. Ukraine was ranked 6th among the importing countries.
