Before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Ukraine-Georgia trade relations were on a growing trend, but after the start of the war, both imports and exports slowed down.
In March, compared to February, the volume of imports actually decreased by 68%. After March, imports began to recover and even increased more or less from month to month.
As for export, it has decreased by 20%. In January-November 2022, the country exported products worth of $ 221,729.90 thousand to Ukraine. In the same period of 2021, it was worth of $ 278,105.41 thousand.
Observing the export dynamics, it is clear that the lowest value products from Georgia were imported into Ukraine in March 2022, which is due to easily explicable factors. After March, the export indicators started to recover, however, in monthly terms, the export of cheese from Georgia to Ukraine with a larger volume was recorded in July.
