The U.S. Embassy has clarified that the United States has not imposed any sanctions on Bidzina Ivanishvili or his family members.

“The United States has not enforced financial sanctions against Bidzina Ivanishvili or his family members. The U.S. Treasury Department publicly discloses all financial sanctions,” the embassy stated.

This clarification comes in response to reports from Formula TV on October 2, which suggested that sanctions had been placed on Ivanishvili and his family.
