Two new low-budget airlines, Transavia and AJET, are starting to operate in the aviation market of Georgia. The flights will be operated from the summer navigation season of 2024.
The low-cost airline of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Transavia, will carry out regular air traffic from Amsterdam to Tbilisi, and the Turkish low-cost airline AJET will perform regular flights on the Istanbul-Tbilisi-Istanbul air route.
According to the flight schedule submitted by the Transavia airline to the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia, flights in the direction of Amsterdam-Tbilisi-Amsterdam from April 20 till late October, 2024 will be performed twice a week, every Wednesday and Saturday.
As for the AJET airline, it will operate flights on the Istanbul-Tbilisi-Istanbul air route from March 31, 2024 till late October, daily.
On March 12, 2024, the Civil Aviation Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia granted Transavia and AJET the necessary permits for regular air traffic in the direction of Georgia.
