In 7 months of 2022, Georgia bought medicines worth 37.7 million US dollars from Turkey, and in the same period of 2023 - worth 78.2 million US dollars.
As for the general data, the import rate of medicines has also increased this year. Last year, Georgia bought medicines worth 234.3 million US dollars, and this year - worth 307.7 million US dollars.

To be reminded, the Turkish pharmaceutical market was opened for Georgia in January 2022. According to the Ministry of IDPs from the occupied territories, labour, health and aocial affairs of Georgia, as a result, the prices of medicines became cheaper by 70-80%. As a result of the opening of the Turkish pharmaceutical market, the population of Georgia saves approximately 200 million GEL annually.
