According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), during the last 15 years, trees and shrubs (trees and shrubs bearing edible fruits or nuts, grafted or ungrafted) worth USD 107,023,920 were imported into Georgia. Imports have increased especially since 2011.

Until 2018, the annual weight of imported trees and shrubs did not exceed 1000 tons. However, in the following years it doubled and even quadrupled. In particular, in 2018 - 1,627 tons, in 2019 - 1,531 tons, in 2020 - 2,027 tons, in 2021 - 3,299 tons, in 2022 - 4,279 tons, in 2023 - 3,585 tons, and in 2024 - 2,325 tons.
