After the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of the Ukrainian mainland, the trade turnover between Georgia and Russia doubled. According to the data published by the Georgian National Statistics Office (GEOSTAT), in March 2022, the trade turnover was 109,013 million US dollars, in August - 263,129 million US dollars, in April - 176,092 million US dollars, in May - 205,828 million US dollars, in June - 197,188 million US dollars and in July - 251,732 million US dollars.
According to statistics, in March-August, products worth of 316,375 million US dollars were exported from Georgia, and those worth of 886,607 million US dollars were imported.
The list of the products Georgia bought from and sold to Russia in the largest quantities, from the beginning of the war till August, is as follows:

- Flour of wheat or wheat and rye - $36,792 million
- Coke and semi-coke made from coal, lignite or peat - $36,430 million

- Natural grape wines - $70,327 million
- Ferroalloys - $68,392 million
- Light vehicles - $32,528 million
- Undenatured ethyl alcohol with alcohol concentration less than 80%, alcoholic beverages - $30,012 million
- Apricots, cherries, peaches, plums and bullaces (fresh) - $28.034 million
- Mineral and fresh waters - $19,057 million
