The trade turnover between Georgia and Armenia increased by 66% in 10 months of this year and amounted to $921.3 million. As a result, among Georgia's top trading partners, the neighboring Armenia ranked sixth with a 6.1% share.
According to official statistics, imports to Georgia from Armenia exceeded exports in January-October. During this period, Georgia spent $ 499.8 million to buy goods of various designations in Armenia, which is 39.5% higher than the figure of the same period last year. A large share of imported goods includes copper ores and concentrates.
As for exports, Armenia ranks fourth among Georgia's top trading partners by exports with a share of 9.3%. In 10 months, Georgia earned $421.5 million from the export of goods to Armenia, and exports increased by 114.6% compared to the same period last year. More than half of the total export, with the revenue of $274.5 million, are re-exports, and re-exported cars ranks 1st in the list of exportable goods.
