Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze reaffirmed the government's strong support for Georgia’s tourism and construction sectors during a ceremony marking the start of construction on ORBI Continental, a major hotel complex in Batumi.
Describing the $300 million project by Orbi Group as a future landmark for the city, Kobakhidze emphasized its economic and social impact, noting it will employ 1,500 people during construction and create 2,000 permanent jobs once operational.
“This project reflects private sector confidence in Georgia’s economic and regional development,” he stated. “Tourism and construction are key drivers of our economy, and we will continue to provide them with full support.”
Kobakhidze thanked Orbi Group for its ongoing contributions and expressed confidence in the project’s success, calling it a significant step toward enhancing Batumi’s urban and economic landscape.
