On the first day of the festival, world-renowned pianist Vladimir Feltsman performed along with the Evgeni Mikeladze Georgian National Symphony under the direction of maestro Vakhtang Machavariani. The works of great composers, including Davit Toradze's miniatures, Mozart's and Rachmaninov's productions were performed at the concert.
The festival, which is dedicated to the memory of Davit and Alexander Toradze, includes nine-day classical and folk concerts of famous Georgian and foreign musicians and master classes for students.
Toradze International Music Festival will award scholarships to exceptionally talented young people. The festival was founded on the initiative of the Toradze Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia and the Georgian Chanting Foundation.
