In the first quarter of this year, tourism in Georgia recovered by 95.8% compared to 2019, and compared to 2022, the increase in the number of international tourist visits amounted to 83.8%. During this time, 845,332 international tourist visits were made to Georgia.
In the ranking of the countries according to the tourist visits made, the neighboring countries occupy the first three, of which Russia ranks 1st. The number of visits made from this direction has recovered compared to the data of 2019 and, moreover, has increased by 1.1%, which is 2,710 more visits. As for the number of visits compared to the same period last year, in this case it is 257.6% more, while in the first quarter of this year, 184,994 more visits were made.
