Top 10 products that are transported to Georgia by sea

Within the three months of 2022, compared to the same period last year, the volume of imports and, consequently, products transported by sea to Georgia increased. In particular, according to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, in January-March this year, Georgia imported a total of $ 2.693 billion worth of products, of which the products worth $ 934.501 million were imported by sea.

As of 2021, $ 1.985 billion worth of products were imported to Georgia within the first three months of last year, of which the products worth $ 706.135 million were transported by sea.

The list of the top-10 products that entered Georgia by sea this year is as follows:

Cars - $ 168.002 million;
Ores and copper concentrates - $ 153,478 million;
Oil and petroleum products - $ 142,979 million;
Polyacetals, polyesters of other types and epoxy resins, in primary forms - $ 17,841 million;
Ores and manganese concentrates - $ 14,500 million;
Poultry meat and food by-products, fresh, chilled or frozen - $ 12,348 million;
Oilcake and other solid waste extracted from soybean oil - $ 11.396 million;
Rubber pneumatic springs and tires, new - $ 10.864 million;
Flat-rolled carbon steel, 600 mm or more in width, hot-rolled - $ 10,518 million;
Pork fresh, chilled or frozen - $ 10,236 million.
