After Russia started the war in Ukraine, Georgia increased its import ties with Russia, which are confirmed by the Geostat data. In March, the country bought $ 91.6 million worth of Russian goods, which is $ 2.2 million (2.5%) more than the earnings received in the same period last year. In the first quarter of this year, Georgia bought goods worth $ 273.5 million from Russia, or 23.7% more than last year.

It should be noted that Russia's share in the Georgian imports was 10.2% in the first quarter, ranking the 3rd after Turkey and China.
