In the first half of this year, $1 billion 072 million were transferred in the form of foreign direct investment. From the FDI invested in the country's economy during January-June, $413.1 million were transferred for equity capital, while $613.1 million - for reinvestment.
According to official statistics, the volume of direct foreign investments exceeds the figure of the first 6 months of last year by 16.2%.
According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), the list of TOP-10 companies the most investments were made in during the first 6 months of the current year is as follows: Magticom LLC; Tbilisi Energy LLC; JSC Energo-pro Georgia; Toyota Caucasus LLC; Enka Renewables LLC; Atlas Holdings LLC; Silk Road Group Holding LLC; JSC BJEO Group; Excelsus Holdings LLC; Pontus LLC.
