“Today, the national hero of Georgia, Giorgi Antsukhelidze, would have turned 38 years old,” - the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili wrote on his official Facebook page. According to the head of the government, “such heroes create the great history of Georgia, strengthen its independence and statehood.”

"The moral courage of the 23-year-old sergeant, his staunchness in the face of the enemy, and his dedication to the motherland are exemplary for each of us and future generations. Together with our entire society, I bow my head before his bright memory", Gharibashvili wrote.
