The US State Department adviser, Derek Chollet, says that in a conversation with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, he expressed concern about the current trajectory of Georgia.
According to him, the United States calls on the Georgian Government to make Georgia committed to the Euro-Atlantic future.
"Today, I once again emphasized to Prime Minister Kobakhidze our concerns regarding Georgia's current trajectory - the Government's hostile rhetoric supporting anti-democratic legislation puts Georgia's Euro-Atlantic future at risk. The United States calls on the Georgian Government to once again make Georgia committed to the Euro-Atlantic future, which is what the vast majority of Georgians want," - the advisor of the US State Department, Derek Chollet, wrote.
