During his official visit to Armenia, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili met with His Holiness Karekin II, the Catholicos and Patriarch of All Armenians, to honor the deep-rooted historical ties between the Armenian and Georgian peoples and the longstanding mutual respect between their churches.

The discussion highlighted the spiritual and cultural bonds that have shaped Armenian-Georgian relations over the centuries. President Kavelashvili reaffirmed Georgia’s commitment to peaceful coexistence in the South Caucasus, underlining the critical role of interfaith and intercultural understanding in building lasting regional peace and development.

He stressed that Georgia remains dedicated to advancing dialogue and cooperation across the region as a foundation for stability and prosperity.
