
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia, as of May 1 of this year, 10.3 thousand tons of peaches were exported from Georgia, which brought the country $11.1 million in total.
Export volume increased by 4% compared to last year.
As east-fruit writes, Georgia's top trading partners by peach exports are Russia (9,266 tons), Armenia (970 tons), Belarus (20 tons) and Ukraine (18 tons).
The Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia actively works on the development of agriculture and implements programs to help farmers, especially gardeners. One of the biggest is the Preferential Agrocredit, which was launched in the country on March 27, 2013.
The main objectives of the Preferential Agrocredit are to improve the production processes of primary production, processing and storage-marketing in agriculture with cheap, long-term and affordable funds for farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs.
