This year, Georgia bought record number of eggs from Turkey

In 7 months of this year, a record amount of chicken eggs was imported to Georgia. According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), in January-July 2023, the country purchased 24,835 million eggs (for non-incubating) (1,173 million USD).
2,030 million units of eggs (68.6 thousand USD) were imported in the same period last year, and 1,098 million units (56.1 thousand USD) in the 7th month of 2021.
It should be noted that this year 100% of eggs have been imported to Georgia from Turkey.
