
Today, the Finance Minister of Georgia, Lasha Khutsishvili, met with the World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus, Sebastian Molineus, and the new Head of the World Bank's programs in the South Caucasus, Miguel Eduardo Sánchez Martín. The Deputy Minister of Finance Ekaterine Guntsadze also attended the working meeting.
The parties reviewed the current projects and the ones to be carried out in the country with the support of the World Bank.
The Minister of Finance thanked the Regional Director of the World Bank, Sebastian Molineus, for the important assistance provided by the World Bank, as well as for the support that the World Bank provides to the country in the process of implementing the current reforms.
This year, Georgia and the World Bank are celebrating the 30th anniversary of cooperation. The Minister of Finance and the Regional Director of the World Bank in the South Caucasus once again emphasized the importance of this partnership.
During the 30-year cooperation with the World Bank, approximately $4.3 billion were invested in more than 100 bank projects in our country.
