
"The fact that we have such a level of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund is a very important signal for all international financial organizations and businesses in general," – the Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili told reporters while assessing the Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili’s visit to Davos.
According to him, as part of the Prime Minister's visit to Davos, the meetings were held with business representatives in order to get acquainted with Georgia as a new place of operation for them and the interest in this field was expressed by the world's leading technology companies.
"Today we held many interesting meetings in the economic direction. First, I will start by discussing the macroeconomic policies we have had with the International Monetary Fund. We talked with the head of the International Monetary Fund about the program to be implemented in Georgia by the Fund, which will promote macroeconomic stability in the country. The fact that we have such a level of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund is a very important signal for all international financial organizations and businesses, in general. The meetings were held with the representatives of the technology companies such as HCL. This is a multibillion-dollar tech company that is engaged in the development of digital technologies in the world," - Levan Davitashvili said.
