This summer, the United Kingdom will have a new ambassador to Georgia - Mark Clayton will be replaced by Gareth Ward in a few months.

The Embassy of the United Kingdom in Georgia disseminates information about this. According to their own information, Gareth Ward will start working as the ambassador of Great Britain in Georgia from August 2024.

The Embassy explains that after completing the 4-year mission in Georgia, Mark Clayton will continue his work in the diplomatic service of the United Kingdom in another position.

Gareth Ward has been working in the United Kingdom Diplomatic Service since 1998.
