
The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili met with TAV Georgia General Director Tea Zakaradze and the delegation of "ADP Ingénierie (ADPI)", an authoritative international expert company in the field of civil aviation, which cooperates with TAV Georgia in drawing out the general development plan of the Tbilisi International Airport. Tamar Archuadze, the General Director of the United Airports of Georgia, also participated in the meeting.
It was noted at the meeting that the ADPI representatives have already familiarized themselves with the infrastructure of the Tbilisi International Airport and will complete the work on the development plan of the country's main airport by late 2022.
According to the Deputy Minister, the development of international airports is very important for tourism and aviation.
"The Tbilisi International Airport will have a 20-year general plan and it will include such important components as the development of the airport infrastructure, the increase of passenger flow and cargo flow," said Mariam Kvrivishvili.
According to the General Director of TAV Georgia Tea Zakaradze, the long-term general plan of the Tbilisi International Airport will be handed over to the government of Georgia in January 2023.
