
“The strongest point of Georgians is hospitality, and this is the main theme and focus, which will be presented during the ITB Berlin exhibition,” - the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili, said during the meeting with the representatives of the tourism sector of Georgia, during which the concept of Georgia was represented as a host country of the ITB Berlin 2023 exhibition and the country's tourism.
According to the Economy Minister, it is a great honor and responsibility for Georgia to be the host country of the ITB Berlin 2023.
"We all clearly understand that along with being presented on the global stage, this will give the country's tourism industry a valuable opportunity for further development. We want to make the most of the opportunity that the ITB Berlin gives us," - Levan Davitashvili said.
He called on the representatives of the tourism sector of Georgia to cooperate in order to present Georgia at its best and to make our country's hosting of the world's largest tourism exhibition a memorable event on an international scale.
Mariam Kvrivishvili, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, delivered a presentation on Georgia's participation in the ITB Berlin exhibition to the representatives of the tourism sector.
According to Mariam Kvrivishvili, the status of the host country at the world's largest tourism exhibition will give Georgia direct access to the world's largest buyers and target markets, media coverage worth of 37 million euros, and most importantly, it will give Georgia the opportunity to introduce its tourism potential and tourism products to the exhibition's audience consisting of 200,000 people - 100 thousand business visitors and millions of television viewers of the exhibition.
Mariam Kvrivishvili stated that during the exhibition the Georgian stand will cover 705 square meters in the main pavilion, which will give the country the opportunity to present an unprecedentedly large amount of tourism companies. The Deputy Minister called on the sector to cooperate so that the tourism potential of Georgia can be presented as much as possible and the country can fully receive the benefits that the status of the host country of the ITB Berlin provides.
