“In China, within the framework of the meeting of the joint commission for trade and economic cooperation between Georgia and China, we talked about specific directions, strategic projects, including connectivity. It should be noted that the potential of cooperation with China is very large,” – the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili stated at the briefing held after the government meeting.
According to the Minister, it was announced in China for the first time that the Trans-Caspian corridor is one of the main priorities of international cooperation.
“The cooperation in the tourism sector, which can develop very dynamically, was also discussed at the commission. The government's decision to cancel visas is perceived very positively and has already been reflected in the results. This will further strengthen trade and economic ties between our countries. So, the work of the commission was very positive, and regular commissions are planned to be held in the next years as well, so that the actual issues that we have identified, are effectively fulfilled," - Levan Davitashvili said.
