The head of the National Tourism Administration of Georgia responds to the statement of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, about the implementation of the visa-free regime for Chinese citizens. According to Maia Omiadze, the National Tourism Administration is planning active marketing activities in order to increase tourist flows in China.
"Chinese tourists travel very actively all over the world and are really very desirable tourists and are distinguished by long-distance travel, long vacations and, accordingly, high purchasing power. It is worth noting that negotiations are underway to add flights from China to Georgia and increase their frequencies. The National Tourism Administration will very actively start marketing campaigns in China from next year in order to raise the awareness of Georgia and bring business closer together. We will take Georgian tourist companies to China and help to establish contacts with local businesses; we will organize joint exchange tours, which will help to increase tourist flows from China to Georgia", - said Maia Omiadze.
