“The main goals of the visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia to Saudi Arabia are to strengthen the existing cooperation, political dialogue and economic relations between the two countries and to attract more investments to Georgia,” - the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, echoed the departure of the Prime Minister of Georgia and the government delegation to Saudi Arabia.
"Strengthening bilateral cooperation with the Gulf countries is one of our main priorities, therefore, the visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia begins. The purpose of the visit is to further deepen and strengthen cooperation and political dialogue on the one hand, and on the other hand to further strengthen economic relations and bring more investments into our country", - Ilia Darchiashvili noted.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, this visit of the government delegation will be outstanding and will bring tangible results to the country.
To be reminded, the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for an official visit.
At the King Khalid International Airport, the PM and his accompanying delegation were officially welcomed by the Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the host country’s Economic Minister, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Georgia, and Georgia’s Ambassador in Saudi Arabia, Vakhtang Jaoshvili.
High-level bilateral meetings are scheduled within the scope of the trip.
