
The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Irakli Nadareishvili took part in the presentation of the Business Demand on Skills study prepared by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia within the framework of cooperation with the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT).
According to the Ministry, representatives of business associations and donor organizations attended the meeting along with the public agency officials.
“The Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of research findings and the cooperation of various agencies in this direction against the background of existing challenges. He also touched on the important activities carried out in the country in terms of attracting IT companies, which have already yielded results - the employment rate in the mentioned sector has significantly increased, as well as the capacity of local personnel has grown.
The research was carried out using a quantitative method and surveyed 9,500 enterprises that were selected from the database of non-financial and financial corporations operating in Georgia.
After the presentation, the meeting continued in the question-and-answer mode", - the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia reported.
