"The first international investment was made in the Tsalka Canyon, the cost of which is about GEL 120 million. This is the largest private investment carried out in the protected areas of Georgia," - Otar Shamugia, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, stated.
According to him, the project is of paramount importance. It will contribute to the growth of the tourism potential of the region, which in itself is related to the employment of more people and the improvement of their social and economic conditions.
"The development of this area, more visitors and tourists there, means more opportunities for investors to arrange more hotels and develop relevant services," - the Minister said.
A glass bridge was arranged over the Tsalka Canyon. The unique building has no analogue in the world. GEL 15 million was spent on its construction. In the middle of the bridge there is a diamond-shaped hanging cafe-bar.
The first flow of visitors will be hosted in 62 high-end hotels and cottages. Each is isolated and is designed for 2-6 people. A premium class hotel with conference and concert halls is being built here. A swimming pool will be constructed soon. The Tsalka Canyon will be open to the public at full capacity starting from June 15.
