The First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili, announced that a contract with a private partner for the Anaklia Deep Sea Port project could be signed this spring.

Speaking at a government briefing, Davitashvili stated, “Talks in this direction are currently ongoing.”

“We expect to finalize the contract by spring or, at the latest, summer. While I initially anticipated a faster negotiation process, the involvement of several major global companies requires strict confidentiality to ensure maximum efficiency,” he added.
