
The Tbilisi TV Tower was illuminated in pink to mark International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, symbolizing the city’s support for early detection and prevention.
“This gesture is part of the global ‘Pink October’ campaign and aims to raise awareness about the importance of regular screening,” said Eter Kiguradze, Director of the National Screening Center. “Early detection can save lives by preventing advanced stages and fatal outcomes.”
The initiative was organized by the National Screening Center with support from Tbilservice Group LLC.
As part of the campaign, women aged 40 to 70 are eligible for free state-funded breast cancer screenings.
