In celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Guatemala, Tbilisi TV Tower was illuminated in the colors of the Guatemalan flag.

Guatemala gained its independence from Spain in 1821 and celebrates its national holiday on September 15. This day is marked by various festive events throughout the country.

Last year, the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Guatemala was inaugurated in Tbilisi.
