The hilltop TV tower overlooking Georgia’s capital Tbilisi was illuminated with the national colours of Israel to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the country.
The symbolic move marks the date on May 14, 1948.
The day prior to Israel's independence day is Memorial Day, which is dedicated to the memory of fallen Israeli soldiers and civilian victims of terrorism.
