Georgia’s capital Tbilisi will mark International Children’s Day on June 1 with various events as part of a special City Hall programme and activities.

Entertaining activities will be hosted at different spots of the capital, with the main programme held in Dedaena Park.  

Children's musical project Ranina will host a concert, while puppet and finger theatres, a photo zone and sport and entertainment events are also hosted.

Exhibition and sale involving young entrepreneurs and children’s literature will also be in the programme.

Mayor Kakha Kaladze said other activities would include a skate show, an illustration area and a fairytale corner for young visitors during the evening.

International Children’s Day has been marked since 1925, when it was founded in Geneva during the World Conference on Child Welfare.
